System Magazine is expanding its print repertoire with a new biannual edition called System Collections, which launches this week. Billed as a deep-dive into each season’s shows and collections, the inaugural issue focuses on the Autumn/Winter 2025–2026 runway season. The concept is to present a “first-of-the-season, editorial showcase of all the key runway looks” across both print and digital platforms. For System – long known for its exclusive long-form conversations and image-maker portfolios – this offshoot marks a timely pivot that captures the immediacy of fashion month within the magazine’s characteristically thoughtful format.
The launch issue spans 288 pages and is anchored by an exhaustive visual portfolio of the season’s fashion highlights. An exclusive 82-page section is created by photographer Mark Kean and stylist Vanessa Reid, with casting by industry heavyweight Piergiorgio Del Moro. True to its name, Collections features looks from 80 different brands, showcased on 32 of the moment’s top models. Early glimpses on social media reveal a stark, studio-shot aesthetic – one cover, for instance, shows models Awar and Athiec wearing head-to-toe Saint Laurent, a bold composition of sharp tailoring and bare skin against a neutral backdrop. Other images highlight a range from heritage houses like Alaïa and Versace to an upcycled creation by rising star Duran Lantink, signaling the issue’s broad scope in cataloguing the season’s defining looks.
