The new issue – the 31st, marking 10 years since our foundation – is a tribute to Independence: in publishing, music, design, and architecture. We looked for people who could speak about independence without labeling it. Independent publishing defines itself through consistency of message. Our coherence must take priority over commercial, diplomatic, and financial strategies. Independent publishing must be an authorial expression, carrying a civil, ethical – even political – message
