Each themed edition of BranD showcases brand work and design. An excellent reference publication for anyone working in commercial or brand-based design, as well as those working in graphic design more generally. Plus, it often features innovative print finishing techniques.
In the issue 73, another colourful and abstract cover with a few detachable bits (not pictured). The focus of the latest issue is ‘Layout Designs That Change Reading’, densely packed with books, magazines and publications channeling the power of editorial design and the importance of the reading experience. While the issue’s own slightly conservative text layouts might be somewhat of a missed opportunity, the scope of the theme compensates for this—atypical approaches to layouts, binding techniques, packaging and more supplement core interviews with a number of prominent designers and studios in OK-RM, Yukimasa Matsuda, Scheffe Shields and more.
