212 is a large format international biannual magazine from Istanbul. Focusing on arts, culture and society, each issue tackles various universal subjects within a distinct theme.
A large-format, matte-papered magazine from Istanbul exploring a variety of different themes within and connections between the wider subjects of art and society.
This 19th issue is titled Authentikós, the Greek word for ‘authentic.’ With paintings and photographs both surreal and probing, the work inside this issue seeks to provide a creative response to a question posed by the poet Edward Young in 1759: ‘Born Originals, how comes it to pass that we die Copies?’ Featuring an interview with author Ari Aber, following the publication of her debut novel Good Girl, a moving coming of age photography series’ from Claudine Doury, as well as, a reprinted short story by Edgar Allan Poe about a man haunted by his doppelgänger.
